Sinis
While we thought about staying another day in the Bosa area because of the great weather we hit the road in the end and continue our exploration of Sardinia. After stocking up again in Bosa we take a scenic route through the mountains in the back country.
This part of of Sardinia is very different compared to the coastal areas. We drive on narrow but scenic streets and enjoy nice views across the back country. In Cuglieri we stop at a natural well to fill up our drinking water. The water tastes fantastic and even some of locals come here to carry home this fantastic water while we refill our tank.
Cuglieri is showing up with its basilica.
We make a stop to refill out water and visit the basilica.
Cuglieri is a nice little town with very narrow streets.
A very old fountain next to the basilica.
This is the Basilica Santa Maria della Neve.
From up here we have a nice few across the town all the way to the coast.
In S'Arena Scoada we find a little beach in walking distance from the campsite.
The sun starts to set already.
Something we can watch again and again.

As we are here already we also walk up the hill in Cuglieri to the Basilica Santa Maria della Neve. We are rewarded with a fantastic view. Our journey continues, passing through Santu Lassurgiu, Bonarco and down again to the coast. As we are both tired somehow we don't want to drive much further.
Karin finds the peninsula Sinis in our guide book. This is close by from where we are and so we drive to S'Arena Scoada. Here we find again beautiful sandy beaches and a campsite for the night. It's really amazing the different type of beaches we've come across so far. The one we are really looking forward to is Costa Verde. Our next stop further south.
